Castanospora alphandii (Brown Tamarind) – Tube stock

Description

Altitudinal range from sea level to 1100 m.
Grows in well developed rain forest on a variety of sites.

A Castanospora alphandii also known as a Brown tamarind tree.
With a fast growth rate this tree can grow up to 30 meters tall.
The plant needs to be planted in enriched soil, mildly acidic to mildly alkaline soil.
There are small white flowers that grow and fruit that is coloured and orange brown, roundish and splits into two segments.
