A Cordia sebestena also known as a Scarlet cordia and Geiger tree. A Cordia sebestena tree is usually small growing up to 10 meters tall. There habitat is on dry districts on sandy soils. The tree is native to South Florida in the united states and the Bahamas, southwards throughout Central America and the greater Antilles. It grows edible fruit that is large, pear-shaped which have a pleasant fragrance and are not particularly tasty.
