Description
A Banksia robor commonly known as a swamp banksia is a large shrub that is fast growing and grows from 1 to 2 meters tall. This plant is a dramatic looking banksia with large leaves. It grows beautiful flowers on it that have a bluish green at the start. Then, as it ages the flowers become a yellow-green. The flower spikes usually appear in Autumn and Winter. The Banksia robor naturally occurs in damp areas on sandy soil for good drainage. For best flowering, the plant should be placed in full sun. This plant is native to coastal areas from Cooktown in North Queensland to the Illawarra region on the New South Wales south coast.
