Medium-sized to tall trees with flaky, often fissured bark; bark on twigs smooth, becoming slightly flaky with age.

This stunning Small tree is perfect for coastal environments with high tolerance to salt winds and will adapt to many soil conditions.

Commonly known as Lilly Pilly, Syzygium hemilampra is a medium to large Australian shrub or small tree, which produces thick emerald leaves with orange to yellow new growth, and fluffy cream flowers.

An ideal plant for hedges or screening, as the foliage is very dense.
Bestest grown in moist well drained soil, with full sun to a lightly shaded position.
Tolerates exposed windy areas.
Relatively low maintenance.
Water well until established.
Prune lightly after fruiting if a density is required.
It can grow to a height of 8 metres and a width of 3 metres in a garden if not pruned or can grow much bigger if in a rain forrest climate.
