Description
This is a heavy duty 375mm long hand saw. It is designed to be an alternative to a small chainsaw with a straight blade, but angled handle that can be held with one or two hands. The Kamisorime is designed to cut medium to large branches.
The teeth are sharpenable so if you need to sharpen them you will need a diamond shaped file to do so. (available in our Tools and Others section). The blades are hollow ground to reduce friction and increase easy of cutting action and speed. The teeth are non-set which creates a very smooth cutting action. The blades are made from a special material which is a high carbon steel and then have a special coating to reduce rust and protect the blade. The handle is made from Silky’s special GOM material, giving superior grip and reducing vibrations.
This is a PULL saw. All cutting occurs on the pull stroke. Put a minimal amount of pressure as you pull the blade toward yourself and then glide the saw forward. On the forward stroke the teeth will clear of timber or material and then on the pull stroke the saw will do the cutting again.
All parts of the saw are available and replaceable. The Kamisorime comes with a scabbard and a belt attachment and leg attachment loops. Leg straps are available but must be ordered separately. Code for leg strap is 506-04-14 (available under Parts and Blades)
