Description
A Dianella atraxis is also known as a Northern flax lilly is a shrub.
The shrub grows up to 1.5 meters tall often when the flowers and fruits are smaller.
The flowers are blue or purple with yellow.
The fruit are 3mm long with a dark blue or purple and shiny with black seeds.
The plant is native to the rainforest from the Heathlands National park to the Seaview range.
A clumping perennial with wide dark green, strappy leaves and small rich indigo flowers appearing sporadically throughout the year.
