The Petzl Dual Chinstrap Black/Yellow is a replacement and upgrade chinstrap designed for Petzl VERTEX and STRATO helmets. It gives you two tension settings so you can adapt your helmet for different work conditions — whether you’re working at height or on the ground.
This chinstrap fits helmets produced from 2019 onwards. The dual‑mode clip lets you choose between high strength and low strength settings. High strength keeps the helmet secure during height work. Low strength is safer on the ground because it reduces the risk of choking if the strap gets caught.
Installation is quick. Remove your old chinstrap and clip this one into the helmet harness. The strap attaches firmly and won’t slip while you work. You can adjust the strap length with the lateral separator to get a comfortable, secure fit every time.
Made from tough nylon with polycarbonate and high‑strength polyester components, this chinstrap is built for daily use on busy job sites. It’s lightweight (about 34 g), so it doesn’t add bulk or interfere with your movements.
The black and yellow colour adds visibility without being overly bright. It also makes gear identification easier on the rack. The dual settings give you flexibility — use the stiffer setting when safety matters most, and the softer setting when comfort on the ground matters more.
