Description
The Petzl St’Anneau 12 mm Dyneema Sling is a lightweight and strong sewn sling designed for tree care, climbing, rigging and anchor building. It serves as a versatile extension, anchor point or connection loop for a wide range of climbing and arborist setups.
Made from high-modulus polyethylene (Dyneema) webbing combined with nylon stitching, this sling is significantly lighter and more flexible than traditional nylon slings. The result is gear that’s easier to carry and handle on long days in the field without sacrificing strength.
These slings are 12 mm wide and come in three colour-coded lengths—24 cm (green), 60 cm (yellow) and 120 cm (red)—so you can quickly identify the size you need. Colour coding makes gear organisation faster and reduces setup errors when assembling anchors or extending gear placements.
Despite its light weight, the St’Anneau sling delivers a high breaking strength of 22 kN, giving you confidence when rigging anchors, building redirect points or extending protection. It meets recognised safety certifications including CE EN 795 B and UIAA, ensuring it adheres to industry standards for climbing and work at height.
Use this sling to extend carabiners, attach pulleys, form anchor loops, or create equalised anchor systems. The slim profile and abrasion-resistant materials make it suitable for both professional arborists and recreational climbers. Whether you’re organising gear on a harness or setting up complex anchors, the St’Anneau delivers reliable performance without bulk.
