Description

The Petzl Etrier Looping gives climbers and rope access workers a simple, strong foot loop for vertical progression. It helps you climb rope more efficiently and stay stable while moving up. This foot loop is a practical tool for ascending systems and technical rope work.

You clip the Looping etrier directly to an ascender such as a hand‑held rope clamp. You can also attach it to a fixed anchor point for overhangs or steep transitions. The design works with systems like single‑rope technique (SRT) and other technical ascents.

The loop has four steps. Each step gives you a place to plant your foot. The multiple steps help you make controlled upward progress and position your body with ease.

Petzl makes the Looping from strong nylon webbing. The underfoot strap has added reinforcement. It resists wear and abrasion so you can slip your foot in and out without worry.

The Looping weighs around 145 g. Its compact size fits into your harness or gear bag without adding bulk.

You use the Looping with climbing gear like hand ascenders, chest ascenders, and rope clamps. It pairs well with devices such as Petzl Ascension Hand Ascender or Petzl Basic Ascender for smooth, efficient ascents. The Looping can also support aid climbing and technical access work.

The straightforward design and proven nylon construction make this foot loop durable and reliable. Carry and use it when you want quicker, steadier movement up a rope or remote structure.
