Peltophorum pterocarpum commonly know as the yellow flame tree or yellow poinciana, comes from the fabaceae plant family.
The tree becomes littered with eye catching bright yellow flowers from May through to September.
Usually growing to around 15m however in some cases can grow up to 35m.
