Alstonia spectabilis commonly known as Bitterbark, Yellowjacket and Milky Yellowwood.
It is a medium-sized species of tree from the dogbane family, growing 20m to 40m in height.
The Alstonia spectabilis grows white flowers 3.5-5mm in diameter and fruits that are 20-40cm long.
Native to – East Malesia and Northern Australia
Climate zone – Tropical forest habitats
Growth habit – Evergreen
Soil type – Commonly found in lateritic loam & sandstone soils.
