Description

The Petzl Wire Strop gives climbers, arborists, and rope access professionals a strong anchor strap that stays reliable in tough environments. It uses a 6.5 mm diameter galvanised steel cable wrapped in a protective sheath. The steel cable resists abrasion and holds up to repeated use, so you can create secure anchor points with confidence.

This anchor strap comes with two terminations of different sizes, letting you set up anchors in several ways. You can clip it directly to a fixed point, wrap it around a structural anchor, or choke it around a suitable beam or branch. The versatile end fittings give you flexibility in the field when conditions change.

Petzl added a plastic sleeve to help keep the connectors in position and make clipping easier. This sleeve also includes an individual identification marking, so you can track each strop through gear inspections and maintenance logs.

You can choose from multiple lengths — typically 50 cm, 100 cm, 150 cm, 200 cm, and 300 cm — to suit your anchor needs. Shorter lengths work well for compact setups, while longer options handle bigger anchors or structural wraps.

With a breaking strength of 23 kN, this wire strop delivers real strength for work positioning, anchoring, and tie‑offs. It carries multiple safety certifications, including CE EN 795 B, NFPA 1983 Technical Use, ANSI Z359.18, and CE EN 354, giving professionals confidence in its performance.

The Petzl Wire Strop does not meet the EN 13414 standard for wire rope slings, so use it as an anchor strap rather than a load‑lifting sling.
