Lasjia whelanii (Whelan’s Silky Oak) – Tube Stock
Lasjia whelanii from the proteaceae plant family, more commonly known as Whelan’s Silky Oak.
A large forest tree found in North East Queensland produces a useful oak grain timber.
Growing long dark leaves up to 21cm and white flowers which grow as inflorescences.
Fruits are round and about 5cm in diameter, they are cyanogenetic and poisonous to human.
